Marriage date
[edit]Why does it say the date of marriage was in 1917 on his citizenship papers? -- Zblewski|talk 15:02, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
A Simple Woman
[edit]So is Elsa who people refer to when they aphoristically comment that "Albert Einstein was a brilliant man who was married to a simple woman"...noting that his first wife was quite well-educated? --The_Iconoclast (talk) 08:24, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Albert and Elsa's fathers are first cousins
[edit]I know Albert and Elsa are first cousins via Pauline Koch and Fanny Koch being sisters but they are also second cousins via their fathers. Albert's paternal grandfather Abraham Einstein is the brother of Elsa's paternal grandfather Rudolph Einstein thus Albert's father Hermann is the first cousin of Elsa's father Raphael. Albert and Elsa are the great grandchildren of Rupert Einstein and Rebecca Obernauer. --User:Meteor — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.110.195.254 (talk) 16:49, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
